Draft Policy and Feedback

In an effort to comply with this mandate, Rice University created an implementation task force comprised of faculty, staff, and students to assess the impact of the new Title IX rules on its current policies, procedures and programming. The Task Force was also charged with crafting revisions to its policies to implement these new regulations and to deliver a fair and informed process that reflects the culture, values and expectations of the Rice community. A list of Task Force members is available here. The Task Force timeline is available here.

  • A summary of the policy, including the Task Force Recommendations is available here.
  • A draft of the revised Sexual Misconduct Policy for Faculty, Staff, and Students is available here.
  • A draft of the current proposal for Policy 201 is available here.
  • A summary of the text changes to the Code of Student Conduct is available here.
  • A draft of Policy 830, Discrimination and Harassment is available here.
  • To provide comments on the Task Force Recommendations or draft policies, please click here (you will be asked to log in with your Rice NetID).

Please note, during this review period, Rice’s enforcement of its current Title IX related policies and efforts to create a safe, equitable and discrimination free environment for its community remain uninterrupted. Title IX support services are available, and complaint processing will continue to be available to members of the Rice community.
